big big changes

Soo... remember that mysterious post a few weeks back? Well.... I can officially say that I am going to be a full time lead teacher in Jr. Kindergarten at Hutchison starting in the fall!! I can not tell you how excited and honored I am for this opportunity. Can't wait to meet my sweet class!!

In other news, today Zachary and I signed a lease on our first house! We will be living in midtown and we are thrilled. Z is moving in this weekend!  Did I mention two of our most favorite people in the whole world, the Zumwalts will be right up the street?! I cant wait to fill this sweet little house with all of our things and make it our very own. Here is a picture of our new place. :)

We can not explain how blessed we feel that all of these wonderful things are happening exactly when they needed to. Isn't our God so so good! He is the perfect provider. All glory and honor to Him! I hope you all have a great weekend. Happy Friday!

Our First Shower

My oh my are showers fun!! The gifts are amazing but its being surrounded by some of the people you love most in the world that makes it so so special. Our first shower was thrown by Karin and Lenny Jones. When I was 17 I started nannying Karin's 3 precious girls (you would know them as my Siano girls). This family has been so welcoming, supportive, and  loving for the past 7 years. I truly consider them family. After Z and I became engaged they approached us about throwing us a couples shower and of course we were pumped! When I say it was one of my most favorite days ever I mean it. We had a ball!

The wonderful hosts! The food was incredible!! Yum yum yumm..

Mary Beth is my youngest Siano girl. She made the best little hostess. We love you MB!

 The Holcombs!

Of course we made time to watch the grizz game. Once we realized where the men had gone we all piled on the couches and cheered them on. It was a great grizz win!

 Four of my beautiful bridesmaids!
Left to right: Jimy, Anna, Caryn, and Elinor
We missed you Kate, Jules, and Liv.

Thank you everyone who was able to come celebrate with us and a special thank you to Karin and Lenny for taking such great care of us. Having our first shower not only made things more real but made us even more excited about our wedding day!!!! Only 64 days to go!!

Our engagement story

So I thought this was a great time to share with all of you how my sweet Zachary asked me to be his bride. If you have taken a look at our wedding website you might have read this but if not enjoy.. It still makes my heart smile.

The Engagement

For weeks I had been guessing how every possible situation was going to end in Zack proposing to me. I mean crazy stuff.. for example I was having weekly manicures to make sure my nails always looked good. Finally after much prayer the Lord had given me a peace. I couldn’t believe Zachary Call Holcomb wanted to be my husband. I have prayed for a long time for my future husband and the Lord has more than blessed me by leading me to Zack. I am amazed every day at his love for me and more importantly for his love of Jesus. But back to the story.. After calming down I was ok with waiting. Knowing one day I would be Zack's bride was ok with me.. I even let my nails go.
The night it happened Zack asked me to go on a date. It had been a while since we had been out so I was more than excited. The plan was to go to Alchemy and hang out in midtown for the rest of the night. So after getting ready we headed out. Honestly, after looking at his outfit I thought to myself.. those pants are pretty tight. He couldnt hide a box in those. We did our usual taking pictures before dinner (see photo above) and went in. The Olympics were on so we sat at a table by the bar and were having a wonderful time. That’s when the phone rang... Zack took the phone call and left the room. It was loud inside and he can’t sit still when he is talking so this was completely normal. When he returned he said his parents were having car trouble and they needed us to come help. He said they had been at Getwell Road United Methodist and their car wouldn’t start. We were finishing up with dinner so of course that was fine. We paid our tab and left. The car ride was like any other.
We are driving up Getwell and Zack turned into St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. Now this wasn’t weird to me because that is where Zack use to have band practice so I thought it was out of habit. I told him "Babe I think you made the wrong turn." Zack had nothing to say. If you know my sweet Zachary at all you know he ALWAYS has something to say but this time he didn’t. I started to think that’s weird maybe he is turning around..  but he didn’t. My heart stopped. I asked him what we were doing. He opened the car door and said come on but what I heard was "Get out!" He had to correct me later.
So at this point I am shaking like crazy... my heart is beating out of my chest. I ask him again, what are we doing? Bless his heart, that boy was running to the door. He opened the church doors and walked inside. I get to the door and it is completely dark besides candlelight coming from the sanctuary. I immediately start crying. He does too.

He walks me into the sanctuary and it is the sweetest, most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. There were candles and rose petals lining the aisle and a circle of petals and candles at the altar. That’s when Zack started telling me how much he loved me and then asked "Jacquline Allyse Anderson will you marry me?" He went down to his knee and bounced right back up because through my tears I said yes! He handed me the most beautiful ring in the entire world. We hugged and kissed and then I asked "Is this really happening? Are you serious? Is this ring really mine.. Forever?!" over and over again.
We walked down the aisle to the altar and I saw what was there. On a table Zack had an open bible and a plate with a loaf of bread and two little mason jars with wine. Still in unbelief I cried while Zack prayed for us and then broke the bread. I don’t know how I got it down but I did. After we took communion we sat and took it all in. That will always be one of the sweetest times together we will ever have.

A little while later Zack's friends Matt Berry and Christian came out, congratulated us, and took pictures for us. They had set up the whole thing for Zack while we were at dinner.
I still am in unbelief I am marrying the man of my dreams in June. I can’t believe I get to wear such a BEAUTIFUL ring. I can’t believe he is going to be my husband

Hurry up June 29th! 84 days!

I have gotten a lot done in the past few months and I mean A LOT! If you know me very well you know I have a really hard time when it comes to making decisions. So when I tell you I have changed a few things about my big day.. that would not surprise you! But trust me these are good changes!
