Wedding Plans.. so far

The night we became engaged I started planning the wedding. Okay lets be honest... before we were engaged I had already started planning the wedding. I am one of those girls who has dreamed of becoming a wife since I was a little girl. I never in a million years could have dreamed I would be marrying such a wonderful man. He has been such a big help in the planning and has been sweet enough to listen to me talk and talk and talk about it. I told you he is wonderful! Here are the plans we have so far.

1. Wedding Date
original date... March 9, 2013
for sure not going anywhere date... June 29, 2013
This semester is my FINAL semester of school. Praise Jesus! My major is Early Childhood Education so this semester I am student teaching. With that being said I have a lot on my plate with teaching full time and working nights at Anthropologie. My first placement I was also nannying one of my sweet flower girls, Kennon. I am now at my second placement and I have a new schedule so that has been put on hold until December. With all of that being said and a lot of prayer, Zack and I realized the smartest thing to do would be to delay the wedding a few short months. We know God's timing will be wayyy better than anything we could have planned.
2. Photographer
Lovely Union Photography
Go right now and see how INCREDIBLE Laura and Casey Zumwalt are. I could not have asked for such a talented duo to be a part of our big day. To make things even better they are two of my most favorite people ever!!! Laura has quickly become one of my great friends and I couldn't be more thankful for her and her friendship. Seriously though if you haven't looked at their website you should go now! They are so so talented. My friend Katelyn got married last year and she used Lovely Union to capture her day and she told me that I had to use this couple and boyy was she right. Our engagement pictures are coming up and I can not wait!!! yayyy!

Love you Laura!

3. Venue

original reception venue.. Snowden House
new and way more awesome reception venue.. Lovely Union's Studio
So remember the amazing photographer I told you about that I said was now my great friend. I said she is my great friend because she is absolutely the greatest. Today my sweet fiance was making some calls to confirm some details about the wedding. The Snowden House would not let us put down a deposit until our wedding day was six months or sooner so we have just been waiting and waiting. If you did the math we needed to wait until November to put down our deposit. Well my sweet Zachary called today just to check on everything and he was told the date was no longer available because there is going to be a concert at the Snowden Grove Amphitheatre on June 29. I was totally crushed. Thankfully the Lord already knew this was going to happen. I was on the way to meet Laura when Zack called and gave me the news. Laura and I proceeded to look up venues while we enjoyed our coffee when she came up with the brilliant idea of having the reception at her studio! I told you AMAZING. I could not be happier and more excited about this! It is going to be perfect. Now we just need to find a place for the ceremony. Piece of cake! Thank you again Laura!!!

4. Bridesmaids Dresses

And finally I have decided on bridesmaids dresses. I am absolutely in love with this dress! Its perfect. I originally wanted the girls to each pick something different and everyone have dresses all in the same color family but after a week of searching I decided to keep "it simple" (see what I did there.. blog title :). I am SO happy with my decision and I think my ladies are too. The dress is from Anthropologie and the ladies will be wearing nude shoes. Cant wait to see them all together!

Things left to do:
cake
decor
flowers
music
food
guys suits
Zack's suit
MY DRESS
Yes I have lots more to get done but I do have 7 months! Ahhh... I am loving every minute of this and I know the time will just fly by! Let me know what you think of everything so far. Did you have to change any plans or big details you originally made for your big day?
xoxo Allyse
